Meet Dr. Maggie
Dr. Maggie Koethe is a movement and rehab focused chiropractor based in Excelsior, MN, specializing in sports chiropractic care, injury rehab, and movement-based treatment for young athletes, active women, and group fitness enthusiasts. Whether you’re navigating postpartum recovery, training for your next race, or a young athlete looking to thrive in your sport, Maggie is here to support your health, strength, and mobility — every step of the way.
As a lifelong athlete who played hockey through college at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, Maggie understands the demands that sport and training place on the body. She fell in love with distance running in college and later pursued her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University, where she completed advanced clinical rotations in sports rehab and injury prevention.
Because of these goals and tailored approached, Dr. Maggie is not in network with any insurance companies. Insurance companies don't allow for adequate time or treatment techniques to accomplish these goals, which allows her to use whatever modality, rehab approach or technique available or warranted to get you moving and feeling the way you deserve.
That being said, most HSA and FSA plans can be utilized for payment. Additionally, most people find their insurance plan still reimburses them for their payment up to a certain percentage.
Maggie’s clinical style is rooted in honest education, personalized care, and functional rehab. She blends chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, soft tissue work, cupping, and corrective exercises to help her patients move better — not just feel better temporarily. She also creates injury-informed workout plans using her personal training background to help patients keep moving and building strength without setting their progress back.
In addition to being “the coolest provider” at Minnesota Movement, Maggie also coaches at Orangetheory Fitness Saint Louis Park and coaches a JV Girls Hockey team for a local school. When she’s not treating or coaching, you’ll find her running with her dog, reading a book (or 5), spending time with her husband trying a cool new restaurant or out on Lake Minnetonka — water skiing or surfing in the summer and skating in the winter.
